This Wooden Spiral Candle Holder from Grimms Spiel & Holz of Germany allows families to bring a Waldorf tradition home, and is sure to create cherished memories of family traditions for your child for years to come.
Eight wooden pieces form the spiral. Each segment has three holes to hold our Brass Candle Holders and Grimms Wooden Birthday Decorations (decorations and brass holders are not included but can be purchased separately).
To use during Advent, one can add and light a new candle each night from December 1 to 24, lighting the final candle on Christmas Eve, starting from the outside of the spiral, working inward toward the center.
Alternatively, one candle can move space at a time through the spiral during the 24 nights of Advent.
Another lovely tradition is to incorporate Ostheimer’s Mary and Donkey and Joseph figures, and have them move through the spiral nightly as each candle is lit.
During the rest of the year, this wooden spiral does double-duty as a birthday ring, and the extra holes can be filled with our wooden birthday decorations from Grimm’s.
NOTE: This item is not a toy and is intended for decorative purposes only. Candles should not be burned in this spiral without the use of our Brass Candle Holders. Designed to be used with our 1/2-inch Birthday Ring Beeswax Candles. Birthday Cake Candles are too small for this item. Adult supervision must always be used when candles are lit. Should be kept out of reach of children under 3.

CARE : Use a cloth dampened with warm water. You may use a small amount of vinegar essence mix combined with water. This works extremely well in destroying bacteria and cleaning wooden toys. Do not submerge in water or place in the dishwasher. Disinfectants (even organic baby wipes) should not be used as they can damage the water based coatings that protect the colorful stains beneath.
